I'm a Doctoral Candidate in the Language, Literacy & Culture (LLC) program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
I'm also Assistant Professor for the department of Media and Communication at Saint Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC.
My research interests are aligned in Language, Culture, and Communication; Social Media, African-American Rhetoric, Intercultural Communication, Womanist Standpoint, Ethics, Digital Sociolinguistics, & Interdisciplinary Mixed-Method Research Design.
I am a (2017) UMBC Dresher Center for the Humanities Residential Graduate Fellow as well as a (2018-2019) National Council of Teachers of English Early Career Educator or Color Award Recipient.
